One thing to keep in mind in selecting roofing materials for your home is that some roofing materials retain more heat in your attic space than others.  While in the winter this retained heat might be nice, in the often brutal heat of summers in florida this retained heat can reduce the effectiveness of your air conditioner.  For instance if you turn the air conditioner off or to a warmer temperature while you are away, a house with a low heat retention roofing materials may cool quickly when you turn your air conditioner on while a house with high heat retention roofing materials could take many hours to cool off.  This type of roofing material __________ in comparison to other types of roofing materials.
